Salal Hydroelectric Power Station — a 690 MW run-of-river facility on the Chenab River in J&K — is one of the flagship hydropower assets of NHPC Limited. SMIPL delivered HVAC systems engineered for the specific demands of a powerhouse environment: machine-hall cooling, control-room precision AC, auxiliary-building climate control.

Hydroelectric plants are unforgiving HVAC environments. High humidity from the river, dust from the mountains, continuous operation, and equipment that cannot be allowed to overheat. Our design accounted for every one of these constraints — and has been running reliably since commissioning.
